Hey there and a very warm welcome to the blog of the Brunei Participating Youth of the Ship for South East Asian Youth Programme (SSEAYP) 2007 . The purpose of this blog is basically for us BPYs to make our stamp on the World Wide Web and also to give all of you guys, whether PYs of 2007, Ex PYs, Future PYs or anyone really, an insight into our activities in anticipation of our boarding of the Nippon Maru in October 2007. This blog also serves as a "getting to know you" point and on behalf of the BPYs, we can't wait to meet all of you on 22nd October 2007 when we arrive in Tokyo!
So what have we been doing? We've been meeting every night for the past month or so and practising our performances for the Brunei Darussalam National Day/ Cultural Performance aboard the ship which will take place on 5th November 2007. For 6 nights a week, we shimmy, shake and prance around the hall of the Pusat Belia (Youth Centre) in Bandar Seri Begawan. Its been hectic but i believe we're all making progress under the kind guidance of our dance instructors, Cikgu Suraya and Cikgu Saadiah who have been devoting countless hours to teaching us how to groove, Traditional Brunei Style!!! All this is building up to our "Preview" performance on 8th September 2007. We hope to provide a Top Notch performance when we bring our talents to the Dolphin Hall on the Bruneian National Day!
The BPYs will be on our orientation programme from 19th August- 24th August 2007. We're all very excited about whats in store for us and updates will be more frequent once we've completed orientation.
